Ducted air conditioning — hidden ductwork distributes conditioned air through ceiling vents. No visible indoor units. Popular in new builds and commercial premises.
VRF/VRV systems — large commercial systems with one or two outdoor units serving many indoor units. Highly efficient for offices, hotels and retail premises.
Cassette units — ceiling-recessed indoor units for commercial spaces where wall mounting is not practical.

The Installation Process
We visit your property to assess the space, discuss your requirements and identify the best installation positions for indoor and outdoor units. We advise on the most suitable system and brand for your needs and budget. Completely free and no obligation.
Following the survey, we provide a detailed written quotation covering all equipment, labour, materials and F-Gas documentation. The price is fixed — there are no hidden extras.
Our engineers install your system cleanly and efficiently, typically in a single day for standard residential installations. We core drill for pipework, install brackets, run refrigerant and electrical connections, and commission the system fully.
Once installed, we commission the system, check all connections and operation, and provide you with full operational training. All F-Gas documentation and warranties are provided.

In most cases, no. Domestic air conditioning installations usually fall under permitted development rights. Exceptions include listed buildings, properties in conservation areas, and some flats. We advise on planning requirements as part of the site survey.
A standard single-room split system installation takes 4–6 hours. Multi-room systems typically take 1–2 days. We will give you a specific timeframe in the quote.
F-Gas regulations govern the handling of refrigerant gases used in air conditioning systems. All engineers handling refrigerant must hold a valid F-Gas certificate. Using an uncertified installer is illegal and invalidates insurance and warranties. All AirCon Doctor engineers hold current F-Gas certification.
Yes. Modern inverter air conditioning systems operate as heat pumps in reverse — extracting heat from outside air even in cold weather and transferring it inside. This provides very efficient heating as well as cooling, often at 3–4x the efficiency of electric heating.
